Is Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2004 great?
Ray Farris, Singapore: Hi Jancis, what have you heard or seen about the 2004 vintage in Châteauneuf? The Perrins are billing it as a great vintage (but in the words of Chateau Montelena's winemaker, the latest vintage is always a winemaker's best vintage!). Thanks. me: I know that drums are being beaten loudly about the 2004 vintage inthe southern Rhône and look forward very much to my first serious look at them next month.
