A promising pair of Puglian reds?

Richard Fox, Exeter: Has anyone else tried Sainsbury's Miavini 2003 Negroamaro and Zinfandel [actually Negroamaro/Zinfandel , see below - JR]from Puglia? If you buy six the price is £4.74 per bottle and I rate it as a terrific bargain. The blurb talks of New World and Old working together. I wonder whose idea it was to label Italian Primitivo as Zinfandel. It also talks of "blueberry and bramble aromas". Well, I wouldn't know a blueberry aroma if it smacked me round the face, but this is a lovely fruity concentrated wine. 13% and not too over-heated, IMHO. me: Thanks for sharing these observations.
