Dr John Parr, Cheltenham: I have been enjoying your supplement in the FT over the weekend and was interested in your statistic that only one wine in every 20-40 is of sufficient merit to recommend. In regards to the other 95%+ can you please let me know in what ways they tend to disappoint... concentration, character, balance?...and is there a difference between countries? me: I think the main reason for not specifically recommending a wine is that it is simply unremarkable.
