Colin Clements, Carnforth: Did I dream that you were going to report on a recent tasting of 2001 bordeaux? me: No you didn't. I shall report next week on my recent tastings of mainly right bank red bordeaux 2001. (The site already has quite extensive tasting notes on left bank 2001s .) I must say that the right bank wines were overall looking more successful and appealing at the moment than the left bank ones - and demonstrated quite eloquently that 2001 was the best right bank vintage so far this century, though the jungle drums are beating louder and louder in praise of the 2005s throughout Bordeaux.
