doesn't just appear unseemly, it is unseemly for you, a paid employee
of Robert Parker, to wage battles for him. Before I even get to the heart - or at least what I perceive to be
the heart - of your longwinded reply
to James Halliday's Annual
Lecture to the Wine Press Club of New South Wales , I was
mildly amused at your implication that the wine world should thank
prescient Americans for the preservation of sweet German Riesling and
that it is American wine journalists alone who understand that Riesling
is Germany's gift to the world of wine. Long
