More on Tasmania's Domaine A
James North, New South Wales: Domaine A have a second label (Stoney Vineyard) which can be excellent and much cheaper than the first wines. The Stoney Vineyard Cabernet is approx $26 here (as opposed to $65 for the Domaine A cabernet), which is very good value for a boutique Australian vineyard (they tend to be expensive even here). The 2001 Stoney Vineyard Cabernet is excellent. Another delicate, food-friendly red from Tasmania is Stefano Lubiano Merlot 2003 . Also about $26 down under.
