Rodrigo Mainardi, Brazil: Last Saturday I had a superb bottle of a wine you didn't like at all: Hermitage La Chapelle 1996 . It was very complex and alive, with a lovely texture. Not very powerful on the mid palate perhaps but absolutely fine. I had it with some grilled lamb chops and mashed potatoes. Have you tried this one recently? me: As a matter of fact I tasted a range of  dozens of la Chapelles recently back to 1955 including the 1996 on which this is my note: Hermitage, La Chapelle 1996 Paul Jaboulet Aîné 16 Drink 2007-14? Dark crimson with well shaded subtle rim. Sweet, violets, brooding – a definite cut above...
