What's going on chez Unwins?
Ben Greene, UK: Forgive me if this has already been brought up by someone here, but I couldn't find any reference to it. What on earth has happened to Unwins? I have passed several stores in the last month or so, and none of them have any stock. Well, they might have six bottles of the same wine spaced around the room, but surely that's not fooling anyone? They must be about to go under. Where will I go for my Marlboro Lights now?

Where indeed? Unwins was a family-owned firm but never seemed quite of this world. They had a brief rally a year or two back when they launched a branch or two of an upmarket...
