A charming tale from Baghdad

Rami, GB: Here is a little story from Baghdad less troubling than the usual ones from that unfortunate part of the world that I send to you in this season of goodwill. During certain months of the year the singing of robins in Baghdad is very much more prolific than other months. My poet friend from Baghdad told me this the other day. On looking into it more carefully, it was found that these robins collect dates from the palm trees, and place them carefully in cool protected areas where the branches meet the stems of the tree. Then they make holes in each date with their tiny peaks. Then they were observed filling their peaks...
