A grande bouffe Chez Bruce

Willie Lebus, Bibendum Wine, London: Dined at our local Chez Bruce last night. Raided my old cellar and pulled out some relics! Highlights were: Krug 1988 Far and away the most impressive glass of fizz this year.Drunk at cellar temperature this is still pretty tight but so beautifully balanced and.... elegant. 1990 is a lot more forward. This 1988 needs another five years at least to show its great potential Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Epeneaux 1983 Sadly this was a tad cloudy but we were all impressed that the bouquet and flavours were that heady mix of sweet Pinot and a touch of the farmyard. I am tempted to revisit...
