Acupuncture - great for wine tasters

You may remember an earlier discussion about the virtues of acupuncture as a means of heightening taste sensitivity. This has been sent in response.
I have dutifully completed nine sessions of 'pinhead' treatment despite my needle-phobia. My kind and gentle acupunturist (trained in Beijing) had advised his intention in the first session, to reduce irritation/swelling of the nasal passage, improve blood flow and provide better nasal drainage.
