Inexpensive St-Emilion

In late April I spent some time in the northern Dordogne and took the opportunity to go to one of my favourite places St-Emilion for the day. As anyone who has been there will know, it is beautiful
medieval town, its business comprising wine merchants, restaurants and jewellery shops.
I was scandalised by the prices of many of the wines which seemed to be well above UK prices for all the top wines and many wines below that level .
