Authenticating a DRC wine

If someone were to offer one a bottle of DRC 1997 (say), how would one go about checking the provenence of such a bottle? What anti-fraud devices are there on such a bottle? Is ownership registered as is the case for a Rolex watch at original sale?
A purely hypothetical question of course!?
