Pichon Lalande 1982 again

1982 Pichon Lalande in mar 03 was an extraordinarily dense purple, drinking beautifully after two hours decanted - fruit essence, body, balance, force. In nov 04, I wondered if it had lost some of its vigour, although still delicious. But circumstances change - and influence: different time of year, no guests giving a sense of occasion, and I had read a hint from Monsieur Quarin that it might be in decline. More generally storage must be an issue - mine came from the air-conditioned cellars of the Wine Society.
Incidentally, I do hope Julia Harding will have...
