Where to find out more about specific producers

I was wondering if you or your subscribers would recommend a reference book on wineries and wine makers. This would be very useful as now, when I find a wine I like, I would like to find out more about who made it. PS I hope you were not offended by my asking you to explain some of the wine terminology. I did look on the internet and accept that each trade has its own language....I am learning but will hopefully get there in the end.
