A bargain at the Co-op

The Coop have just put La Cuvée Mythique 2001 at £3.49. My experience with this wine is very good. Surely this is very (or too) cheap for what it is! Do you think it is because it has faded away as a four or five year old? I have heard of excessive bottle variations. What do you think?

Sounds like an excellent buy to me. This top of the line red from Val d’Orbieu is usually a dependable Languedoc blend selling at several times that price and 2001 was a very good vintage for the Languedoc. The 2003 is very voluptuous and almost Californian in style but I seem to...
