This definitely made my day. The wire services here are reporting that Senator Carole Migden, a Democrat from SF, is introducing legislation to crown Zinfandel as the official state grape of California. Be careful when you visit Napa this year because you may be subpoenaed to testify in state hearings! The White Zinfandel lobby (can you believe such an entity exists?) is pushing for inclusion in the legislation.
