1996 red bordeaux - ready to drink?

I received a case of Ch Cantenac Brown 1996 Margaux as a Christmas gift. Is this wine drinkable now or for how long should I store it? Thanks in advance.

I’m glad you raised the question of 1996 red bordeaux as it reminds me to publish my tasting notes on all the top dozen or so châteaux from that vintage taken at a tasting in London last month. I’m also going to take part in a big blind tasting of the 60 best-known left bank wines this September.
I haven’t tasted Cantenac Brown 1996 recently but on the basis of other 1996...
