Kracher and Ordoñez make music in Málaga

Michael Alberty, Corkscrew Wine Emporium, Urbana, IL: I was in Spain for a week and I was able to sample the wines from the new Jorge Ordoñez-Alois [Kracher] joint venture in M á laga. The wines will be sold under the extremely imaginative label of Jorge Ordoñez & Co and they were quite impressive. Alois and Jorge are taking Moscatel grapes from some fairly old, high altitude vineyards near the village of Almarchar and drying them passito -style in wooden boxes they store in hot caves.
