Older Italian vintages

Damien Casten, Candid Wines, IL: Can you suggest a good vintage chart for older Italian wines?  I find many going back to the 1980s, but few that go any farther.  Thanks! me: I see that the chart at the beginning of the current Gambero Rosso annual guide Italian Wines/Vini d'Italia  ( www.gamberorosso.it ) goes back to 1971 with separate ratings for Barolo, Barbaresco, Amarone, Brunello, Vino Nobile and Chianti. Is that detailed enough for you? There surely aren’t thousands of wines older than that which still have a lot to give, are there? Or am I wrong here?...
