Where to buy wines en primeur
4 May 2006 by JR
Martin Godber, Rome: I (perhaps surprisingly) enjoy the cut and thrust of buying en primeur at this time of year. I do not cry if I miss one of my favourite wines as I scramble around websites and make calls to find best prices. Particularly in years such as this, there are plenty of gems around. However, I have been recommended a company called Albany Vintners and their prices seem OK. Do you or anyone else know them? I have previously used Fine & Rare, The Wine Society, Lay & Wheeler and occasionally the Sunday Times Wine Club . If any more good merchants spring to mind I would love to know....
