Tim James, wine writer, South Africa: May I suggest that your apparent enthusiasm for competitions with blind-tasted, panel-averaged results like the International Wine Challenge is a little bland and excessive? In fact, it's surely about time that people of your stature and power started pointing out that their results are pretty close to nonsense, rather than effectively endorsing them. A rare advantage of the IWC's website is that (once you've worked out how to do the searches) it enables you to find out which wines have won no awards at all.
