Patrick Carpenter, Paris: Do you ever look at Lavinia's prices in Paris?  They always seem astronomical to me though having been in France and away from the UK for six years, perhaps I am slightly out of touch (though I know Ch Musar is over 38 euros in Paris and around £13 in the UK).  I am keen to buy some 2005 en primeur clarets though I normally buy claret and Sauternes at the traditional September wine fairs at the hypermarkets [in France] where the wines are about 3/4 years old on average and appear very good value.   me: Yes these Foires aux Vins in France seem to offer...
