I am not a serial botherer but I recently stumbled over your article on oak chips/New World etc and this is not a gripe but just some feedback. It is interesting that all of the recent innovations in winemaking that you mentioned have in fact been developed in Europe.
These innovations have been used extensively by European winemakers over the last few years and include oak chips/planks, mannoproteins, autolysis enzymes, reverse osmosis, micro-oxygenation and gum Arabic. Australia has a reputation for being innovative. However it is the Europeans that have developed...
