Three assorted questions

Terry Gus Bechakas, Buffalo, NY: I've stored wines in my cellar label side up always! When you decant the old bottles do you turn the bottle to the reverse side where there is no sediment and then decant??? What do you do??? me: Surely the reverse side from the label is where the sediment has collected? I would continue to keep the bottle as close to how you store it and then decant if you have one of those decanting cradles that allow you to keep the bottle as close to the horizontal as possible which many connoisseurs believe is the ideal, and delivers the greatest volume of clear wine....
