Bisso, Simple Wine Co, Moscow : Re The New Russian effect on wine - Though I am not Russian by birth, but I play for "team Russia " here, so I have to comment. The Georgia - Russia problem is a bit exaggerated and ‘hyperventilated’ by the Georgians themselves. It’s a very controversial issue (one of our editors is Georgian and he stopped a quite innocent article about J.Lo and Georgia meant to be published in our magazine, for example). There are undoubtedly very good wines in Georgia but due to the ‘duty-free regime’ that Georgia used to have in Russia...
