Safe bets under £3 a bottle...

Hopefully this query won't be considered too banal, but I have been tasked with sourcing the wine for a wedding with the stipulation that the bottle price is £3 or less. I am going to Calais in a week’s time to increase the chance of finding something reasonable to drink at this level, but a look on the web highlights a very large number of outlets from the hypermarkets through to smaller retailers.
