Why don't we run our own secondary market?

Ratko Bajakic, Croatia : As a novice to the fine wine market I have spotted a lack of transparent secondary market for wines (excluding auctions). It is my experience that only merchants have an edge towards fair pricing of the stock available on the market with individual investors being left to pay huge mark ups. In addition, the bid/ask spreads that are offered from Vintage Wine Fund are not to be found in any other market that is known to my modest knowledge. Therefore I find it curious that fine wine UK consumers did not establish a market where any individual (being it a resident or non-resident holding stock...
