Mark Dowman, Var, France: This follows on from my original enquiry last April. I had the good fortune to visit Chateau Montus/Bouscassé last week and tasted the full range of their Madiran/Pacherenc. As expected the star was the Ch Montus Cuvée Prestige and I was happy to purchase both the 1995 and 2000 for only 27 euros a bottle. On a more general note Andrew Jefford's New France originally pointed me in the direction of the great wine producers of the South West such as Brumont, Ch d’Aydie and Domaine Cauhapé.
