Why are the wines of South West France such a secret?
Mark Dowman, Var, France: This follows on from my original enquiry last April.
I had the good fortune to visit Chateau Montus/Bouscassé last week and tasted the full range of their Madiran/Pacherenc. As expected the star was the Ch Montus Cuvée Prestige and I was happy to purchase both the 1995 and 2000 for only 27 euros a bottle.
