Where to eat in German wine regions
Dave Baer: We will be staying a couple of nights each in Rüdesheim, Wehlen (at SA Prum), Mertesdorf (at Karlsmuhle and dining one night at Landhaus St Urban), and back to Bad Dürkheim before two nights in Frankfurt. With little mention of good (non-tourist) dining destinations in most travel guides (including Michelin), we are interested in discovering the range of dining options from honest food at casual eateries to fine dining options. There will be plenty of wine during the day (occupational hazard), so it's not obligatory for all lunches and dinners. I look forward to your food insight, as you have already provided...
