Wine bargains in Kuala Lumpur
Roger Jones, The Harrow Inn at Little Bedwyn: Hot tip on bargain wines: Glad to see that Malaysia does not have the huge wine tax that Thailand has. The Shangri-La Hotel in KL has one of the best value wine lists that I have ever seen. They are also currently doing a Riedel/Wine by the glass promotion with nearly 100 wines by the glass including DP 1996 (£12) and Yering Station Reserve Pinot (£6). Great listing of Aussie Rieslings from 1998 from £16 per bottle. Well worth a detour.
