A thoughtful wedding present
Paul Pickering, Bray-on-Thames: Looking for suggestions please for a wedding present for a young couple. Would like to buy a case of something (Bordeaux?) for anniversary drinking - one bottle on each of next 12 anniversaries. Budget £100-200. Any ideas? Where to buy?

That’s a thoughtful idea. Bordeaux seems the most obvious solution, and if you go for 12 bottles that means an average cost of no more than £16 a bottle which should be feasible at petit chateau level.
The biggest problem is going to be finding someone with a sufficiently wide range of mature red bordeaux...
