1966 and all that - planning some serious celebrations

I am keen to seek the advice of yourself and other purple pagers to plan a 40th birthday dinner later this year. I bought some 1966 and 1996 Cheval Blanc ('66 for obvious reasons, ‘96 as it was a vintage I could afford and it was also the year of our wedding). I need some suggestions for champagne and white wine. Years I would like to commemorate are 1990, 1995 (got engaged, perhaps champagne from this vintage) and 1998 (first child born - what good whites are available?). Any advice and food suggestions for the Cheval Blanc gratefully received. ...
