Can no one see the merit in emulating Anthony Barton of Ch Léoville Barton? That man is loved worldwide by people like me who are never disappointed with his wine and buy it every year because Anthony has no desire to be identified with young Prats or the Delons.
When I last saw him in Bordeaux, I thanked him for his restraint and gave him a bag of Washington State's best oatmeal. He was recovering from open heart surgery. I should have given him two bags!...
