Riedel's suggestion that the new stemless glasses are easier to transport surely is scraping the bottom of the foudre to come up with ex post justification for the follies of the son.
The main reason glasses are tough to transport is that they are made of glass. Since this is unlikely to change in the future, the travelling wine amateur has either to carry ISO glasses, thinking they'll maybe break but at less than a pound a glass that's a minor disaster, or follow my tragic lead and come...
