Mourvèdre's real homeland

Victor de la Serna, Spain: Re this week's wine of the week : "The wine is very rich and dense - spicy without the reduced stink so often associated with Mourvèdre, not least in its Bandol homeland." Would 'adopted homeland' be an acceptable alternative? :-) Reduced stink is not really a mourvèdre feature in its REAL homeland. me:...
