How long to make good wine in Bulgaria?

Jancis, many thanks for your useful and enjoyable writings in
various media. We are working on a vineyard-winery investment
scenario in BULGARIA. Having tasted 26 Bulgarian wines, including
four reasonably good ones, we wonder: how many years should it take
for a good Bulgarian vineyard with flying Aussie help to develop
wines more agreeable to the average 'western' palate? me:
I was in Bulgaria last year and was most concerned about the state
of the vineyards. It really all depends what condition your vineyards
are currently in. If they are typically Bulgarian, they will have
been neglected...
