A fan for Favorita

Karen Goetz, USA: I was delighted to see your notes on Favorita.  I've enjoyed the vivid green-gold flavours and brightness of this wine. Favorita can have sunlit qualities and a playful freshness that goes well with eating good things like fresh grilled vegetables or roasted rabbit.  I experience the "saltiness" you mentioned as almost a spritz (very fine) that lends a certain perkiness to a swallow of the stuff.  I've also found a minerality in some that is akin to a brook in a meadow.  Maybe that's why it is so good with lunch. It can be one of those surprise emissaries of a sense of place.
