Neil O'Connor, Middle East:
It is interesting to see (in Forbes magazine, 07 oct "EU Offers Wine
Producers Subsidies") the EU offer to subsidies Euro 450 million to pull up low quality grape vines.
If Europe thinks this is the answer to over-production and low quality to compete with other nations, I think they should re-think their position and look at the root of the problem rather base it on vines . They should realize that subsidies will not answer...
