David Schildknecht, US weighs in: I realize that we have gone over much of this ground before, but I cannot refrain from expressing my frustration at the Manichean rhetoric employed in "discourse" concerning technique and terroir, currently much stimulated by the movie Mondovino. Rolland is extending the work and vision of Peynaud, which in essence is this: In a great location, with cooperative weather, you get delicious, profound, indeed iconic results...
