Patricia, UK (and Prague): I was fascinated by David Schildknecht's comments on Austro-Slovenian wines . We have vague memories of being driven across the (unpatrolled, equivalent to a minor B-road in the UK ) border from Styria to Slovenia during an Austrian visit in 1993 and another similar between "Friuli" (I use the term loosely) and Slovenia in 1992. Both (un-named) growers actually owned vineyards on both sides of these European/non-EU borders and amalgamated...
