Reactions to Mondovino

I saw this movie last week in Beaune. Some random thoughts:
a) I felt a great deal of sympathy for the PR people who tried to keep the director away from the people who got filmed on Super 8 or whatever the director used.
b) The Italians get embarrassed for having supported Mussolini... Where did this come from?? Too bad there were no German wineries involved, or what about a Falangeist or a...
