A successor to The Vine?
Robert Jamieson, Steventon, Hampshire, UK: Have you heard that Clive Coates is closing down The Vine early next year? Who do you think might be prepared to start up a rival publication to The Wine Advocate ? Any chance that you might? me: I hadn't heard a definitive date for Clive's ceasing publication of The Vine but it doesn't surprise me as he has moved from London to southern Burgundy recently and undertaking all sorts of major life changes. Various people have proposed a paper version of something based on this website (which is really what you are talking about - especially the tasting notes) but so far...
