Super Size Morgon
Rami, GB: Have you come across a vin de table made by Marcel Lapierre of Morgon? Is it possible it is superior to his Morgon? me: Apparently this wine, made in 2000 and almost certainly in 2003, is a vin de table because the alcohol level is too high and yields too low (8 hl/ha) to be accepted as typical Morgon by the tasting committee. It's not much sulphured, not filtered and is extremely fragile – so it has to be kept below 14 degrees C to remain stable. Superior ? Depends on your point of view.
