James Stark, UK : I have been lucky enough to have been given a bottle of Ch â teauneuf du Pape Roussanne Vieilles Vignes 2002 from Ch de Beaucastel.   I have always understood that white Ch â teauneuf should be drunk as young as possible but note the Oxford Companion suggests this can be kept. Does that hold true for the 2002 -   as I recall it was very wet in the Rh ô ne that year?
