4-Week Tour de France Wine Course (for 4 Thursdays)
Thursday 23 May 2013
,
This course is ran at our satellite venue, Cafe Rouge in Kensington.
Join us as we discover the diversity of perhaps the most important wine country in the world, France. This is a course that really gets to grips with all the major wine regions of France dedicating a whole evening each to the top four areas.
The UK's love affair with French wine is one that boasts quality and quantity – we love well-made French wine and we love alot of it! Through conquest and trade Britain has secured high volumes of our channel neighbour's produce from Bordeaux (what the British call Claret), Burgundy, Loire & the Rhone to Champagne (which the British invented). With high volumes of French quality wine its' way onto our shores there has never been a more important time to understand a French wine label – especially when they are not easy to decipher to the untrained eye.
This course will enable to you select French wine with greater confidence as it is specially designed to teach you the hints and tips of the regions and what's behind the label. The course is focussed on practically tasting key examples of the major regions building the theory around it to make a thoroughly enjoyable Tour de France, in wine.
