Thursday 14 May 2015

The line-up for this evening is focussed on aromatic white wines. This is where we will really explore some of the lesser known styles and varieties of white grapes, that make truly exceptional wines.

These regions are linked by their similar climates, but the styles of wine they produce is extremely diverse! From Alsace we get steely, yet floral Riesling, and intense, full bodied and spicy Gewurztraminer. In Austria you can find varieties that are less well known, even their ‘famous’ Gruner Veltliner is new to most people, but definitely worth trying. And as for the English wines, these again will surprise you. The regions you will be more familiar with, but the level of quality of wines produced always impresses.

If you have ever wanted to match wine to spicy food then this is the evening for you, as these are wines that will go with a variety of different food styles, which we will show with a range of carefully selected canapes.
