Bordeaux, Burgundy & a touch of Champagne

Well it's almost February and the party and excitement of Christmas and the New Year seem sadly distant, so it's time to get back into the spirit with one of our delicious wine dinners. We therefore invite you to head down to the Wine Company and join us for a fantastic wine tasting dinner party with a focus on the superb wines of France's most famous regions, Bordeaux, Burgundy and of course a nod to Champagne.
Champagne should be enjoyed all year round so what better way to warm up the taste buds and set the standard for the evening than by starting with a delicious flute of Champagne on arrival, the familiar bell will toll at 7:25 to summon guests into the tasting cellar for an evening of delicious wines coupled with a superb four course supper.
Wine Buyer Ben Godfrey, a self confessed champion of the wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux, will introduce the wines before each course is served and Shop Manager James Russell-Grant will in turn explain the reasons behind the selection and its ability to match with the menu.
Ben and James have carefully chosen wines exclusively from our extensive Bordeaux and Burgundy range which will meld perfectly with the delicious food prepared by Head Chef Craig Formoy.
Wines will include both red and white wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy and no Bordeaux tasting would be complete without a delicious desert wine from Sauterne.
