Bordeaux Wine and Dinner with Mark Hellyar from Château Civrac

We are very excited to announce that Mark Hellyar will be joining us in December for a very special dinner. The last grower dinner we shall be having this year in fact!

Mark Hellyar, School headmaster, farmer and surfer, had a dream of becoming a wine maker. Following his love for Bordeaux, he set up his vineyard, Château Civrac, in Côtes de Bourg. His idea is to fuse the quality and history of Bordeaux with the excitement and energy of the new world. With the help of the oenologist, Ludwig Vanneron, his “slow” approach, including hand harvesting and minimising any chemical treatments, gives ‘Bordeaux claret’ a modern feel.

On the night we will be trying his amazing Wild White Sauvignon Blanc and Grand Vin Bordeaux Blend to name a few and all this will be served with gorgeous food from The Imperial in Fulham.
