Burgundy 2009 – 5 Years On

Thursday 17 July 2014

,

On this superb evening we shall be tasting a selection of excellent Burgundies from the splendid 2009 vintage. This vintage was rated by Clive Coats MW (Master of Wine) 18.5/20 for the reds being compared to other great vintages such as 1999 and Robert Parker highly sings the year's praises rating it 95/100. While this is not 2005, a vintage of unparalleled density and a firm tannic structure for exceptionally long ageing, 2009 ranks among the very best Burgundy wine vintages of recent times.

Domaine Laroche, Les Blanchots, Chablis Grand Cru, 2009
